Kilspindie Golf Club is tucked away in the north east perimeters of the village of Aberlady and lies adjacent to the Aberlady Bay nature reserve, a very popular bird watcher's destination and dog walking trail. Kilspindie has its own unique sereneness and the views around the course are spectacular..resident colonies of seals bask on nearby rocks and sandbanks while cormorants take their turn to fish in the shallow estuaries....clear views of Fife and the diminutive outline of Edinburgh's unmistakable landscape feature in the distance...a golfing haven!
Top reviews: 'Kilspindie must surely be one of the finest links courses in Scotland!' 'Rightfully described as one of golfs 'hidden gems' Kilspindie's typically firm links fairways, can add a few yards on to some tee shots but also bring a few 'unexpected' bunkers into play!' 'Superb and speedy undulating greens with some tricky 'borrows' add excitement and anticipation to every shot....and sometimes the odd bit of ironic golf humour!'

Craigmillar Park Golf Club is located about two miles from Edinburghs city centre but after you've played a few holes of this spectacularly undulating parkland course you could mistakenly think that you were playing golf in the Scottish Borders countryside...with an abundance of wildlife inhabiting the neighbouring Braid Burn and its surrounding habitats. There are a few steady climbs throughout the course but only the short walks to the 8th and 17th tees will have you pushing an unpowered golf trolley. The first two holes start uphill but things even out with some lovely downhill strolls accompanied by some superb scenery.Drainage at the course is very good and fairways and greens maintain a very good standard throughout the year. In fact this course stands up to winter conditions probably better than any other Lothians parkland venue. The elevated tees on many of holes present inviting targets and added rewards for the accurate driver as a 'guid run' can be gained during the summer months on firmer fairways. The Professional Shop caters for every golfers needs with a good selection of stock and there are also trackman supported golf lessons on offer. The spacious clubhouse has excellent catering and bar facilities with its large lounge windows overlooking the 1st and 11th tees.....a beautiful setting that might just tempt you to play a few more holes at this challenging but very fair course.

The Musselburgh Golf Club at Monktonhall presents a very fair challenge for all golfing abilities.... As this magnificent course meanders around the suburbs of the 'Honest Toun' bordered by the River Esk and Inveresk village, its many wide fairways afford a wee bit of forgiveness for errant tee shots and also compensate for its overall length. ....good course management will help avoid some tricky fairway bunker shots! The Clubhouse provides excellent bar and catering facilities and offers a super panoramic view over the golf course.... Top reviews: 'A fantastic golfing experience at a course worthy of being an Open qualifying venue. The wide fairways were beautifully cut with the lush bouncy green surfaces a treat to play off, the ball sitting up invitingly at every shot'... 'Full credit to the greenkeeping staff on the superb condition the course is presented. One of the best courses in the Lothians with a really nice variety of holes'....

Located in Bonnyrigg, approximately six miles south of Edinburgh this superb parkland course has a welcome abundance of greenery and carefully cultivated planting features creating a really tranquil countryside ambiance. Some narrow tree lined fairways and winding doglegs put the playing emphasis on accuracy rather than power from the tee... The course is renowned for its consistent high standard of greenkeeping. Excellent facilities include a well stocked Professional's shop and very welcoming lounge bar with a good menu choice on offer... |

Sheltered below the Lammermuir hills in the East Lothian countryside near the Scottish Borders, Gifford Golf Club is one of Scotland's most welcoming golf locations... probably the country's best nine hole venue with some subtle tee adjustments on the 'back nine' producing an exciting variety of targets over your 18 hole round... The 'Speedy' burn stealthily transverses the course adding to its scenic characteristics and also presents a few additional 'pressure shots' and club selection decisions. Gifford provides an idyllic setting for a most enjoyable round of golf and many of the well constructed platform tees and 'speedier' greens are complemented by a variety of tall evergreen trees that provide stunning backdrops of colour throughout this delightful golf course. Excellent Scottish traditional 'fayre' is on offer in Gifford's very friendly clubhouse... ...don't miss out on a tasty, world famous 'Gifford scone!'
